PITCH CW

Setup for pitch control.
Settings only available if IN/OUT MENU settings for pitch are set

The PITCH is the free space between two product packs:

PITCH CW monitors the free space between two product packs. In case the pitch is below a certain threshold an output is set to high state.

IN/OUT MENU settings

Set an input to pitch cw:
SYSTEM MENU > IN/OUT MENU > IN > pitch CW

Connect this input to a photo sensor.
Unblocked state: 24V
Blocked state: 0V

Set an output to pitch error CW.
SYSTEM MENU > IN/OUT MENU > OUT > pitch error CW

For example connect this output to the reject device or an alarm signal.

Pitch settings

Go to SYSTEM MENU > BRC MENU > PITCH CW
In case the submenu PITCH CW is not available, recheck the IN/OUT MENU settings.

If the pitch is below the threshold as set with PITCH mm CW, the output pitch error CW goes to high state.

PITCH HOLD mm sets the distance for which the pitch error CW signal remains in high state. For example the distance from the photo sensor to the reject device, in order to automatically reject those packs. The distance is calculated based on the SPEED mm/sec setting.

The pitch monitoring is now configured.
