1. General information
The belt splice detector is optional equipment. When a metal belt splice passes the metal detector, it sets the metal sensitivity to a less sensitive threshold.
2. Mechanical installation
Install the belt splice detector as pictured below.
Switching distance
Adjust the switching distance with the potentiometer. The switching distance can also be seen as sensitivity of the belt splice detector.

Belt splice setup
Open MENU > SYSTEM MENU > IN/OUT MENU
Set INPUT LINE 8 to ‘belt splice’
Open MENU > SYSTEM MENU > BELT SPLICE SETUP

5. Function tests
Test 1: When the metal splice passes the belt splice detector, the LED lamp lights up (red circle).
Test 2: Open MENU > SYSTEM MENU > IN/OUT MENU
When the metal splice passes the belt splice detector, the „0“ changes to „1“ (red frames) and the OK in the top left corner turns from green to orange.
Test 3: Open MENU > PRODUCT MENU > ADVANCED
When the metal splice passes the belt splice detector, the METAL SENSE mV changes (red frames).
