Set metal detection inactive for PRODUCT 250
This setting is used to deactivate metal detection for a short period.
The deactivation is assigned to a certain product. While this product is active, the metal detector will be inactive.
Preset PRODUCT 250 for inactivation
Go to PRODUCT MENU
Select PRODUCT NR. with OK
Choose PRODUCT NR. 250 with ⯅⯆
Confirm with OK
Select PRODUCT NAME with OK
Enter INACTIVE with ⯅⯆
Confirm with OK
Settings for inactivation
Set PRODUCT MENU > ADVANCED > METAL SENSE mV > 3000
A warning message will pop up.
Confirm with OK.
Check settings
Go to mainscreen.
If a yellow notification bar indicates “max. METAL SENSE mV – no metal detection” the settings are correct.
NOTE
There are two different inactive states:
a/ semi inactive – all receiver signales are set to 0 mV in the software
The semi inactive is on with input = ‘inactive’, or with METAL SENSE mV = 3000
b/ true inactive – the transmitter coil is turned off, without current
The true inactive is on when METAL SENSE mV = 3000 and a change from any other product number occurs to the product where METAL SENSE mV = 3000.
How to switch to ‘inactive’ by a 24V input signal:
Do the settings as this:
Step 1/ IN/OUT MENU > INPUT x = product 120
x stands for any of the inputs 1 to 8.
Step 2/ Return to mainscreen
Step 3/ Change to product = 120
Step 4/ At product 120 open MENU > PRODUCT MENU > ADVANCED > METAL SENSE mV = 3000
Step 5/ Change to any other product number, but not 120
How it works:
Now when you apply 24V at input X, the product changes to 120.
The voltage for the transmitter coil is turned off (this only works by change the product number from any other number to 120)
With transmitter voltage off, the ERROR 3 SIGNAL CLIPPING does not happen.
When you set input X to 0V, the product changes back to same number as it was before and transmitter goes on.
